The Ring of Thrór was one of the Seven Dwarven Rings — forged by Celebrimbor under the influence of Sauron, and given to Thrór, King of Durin's Folk and ruler of Erebor, the Lonely Mountain. Unlike the Nine that enslaved Men, the Seven could not bend the free will of Dwarves — but they amplified their greatest weakness: an insatiable hunger for gold.

Thrór wore this ring as a symbol of his dynasty and the glory of Erebor. When Smaug descended upon the Lonely Mountain, the ring passed through fire, war, and legend — eventually reclaimed by Thráin, and lost again in the dungeons of Dol Guldur. It was the last of the Seven to be recovered by Sauron.
